The Pine Creek Golf Club was opened in the early part of 1988. Since then, the course has been repeatedly ranked by industry press as one of the best public courses in the state. The course designer, Richard Phelps, built Pine Creek to be challenging for body and mind. The course winds around naturally occurring grasslands and creek beds, incorporating an elevation change of more than 370 feet. Throughout the course, golfers are treated to stunning views of Pikes Peak and the Colorado Springs skyline.
One of the advantages of Briargate living is the proximity of the Briargate Business Campus. The campus was designed into the community to foster the establishment of local business, so residents can have employment opportunities close to home. Several successful companies, large and small, have chosen to make Briargate their permanent address. The Briargate Business Campus is located east of Interstate 25 and the Briargate Parkway.
The outdoor lifestyle of Briargate is made possible by Colorado's climate. Although the region sees about three feet of snow annually, Colorado Springs has a higher-than- average rate of sunshine, between 70-80% throughout the year. Temperatures range from highs in the mid-80s in July to lows in the mid-teens in January. Annual rainfall is about 16 inches, with the wettest months being July and August.
